Matt has been in the fire service for 20 years, 15 of which are with the Seattle Fire Department where he now serves as a Lieutenant. He and his “smokin-hot wife” have 4 children—2 girls and 2 boys. The Johnsons live in Cle Elum, which they deem “God’s Country.”

Oleg, was born in Russian republic of former USSR. He comes from a military family and spent his childhood living in different regions of former USSR. He was drafted into army right after finishing high school. He spent two years in Moscow Fire Department, while serving in Soviet Army. After completing his time of service, he was standing at a crossroads of his life. The choices and decisions that he had made, took this young, twenty year old man on a journey to a country and culture that was new, exciting and filled with unknown fears. He has arrived to USA.

Tally Hall has been instructing first aid and CPR/AED since 1980. He is expecting to retire from the City of Renton Fire Department in 2012 where he has worked for 36 years and currently serves as a Battalion Chief Safety Officer.

Gail Hall has been instructing First aid and CPR/AED since 2006. Prior to teaching, Gail was a Dental Hygienist. Her favorite part of working in the health field was the education aspect of working with patients. Upon retirement from that field, Gail decided to join her husband teaching First Aid/CPR. She loves being an educator and brings passion to the class. As part of her training, Gail has had the opportunity to ride along with Paramedics in the field to gain experience necessary to relate to class material.

My wife and I have lived in Auburn/Federal Way for 30 years, Redmond and Seattle before that. We also have a place in Easton.
I was a paid firefighter with the Federal Way Fire Department (now So. King Fire and Rescue) for 27 years. I was with Carnation Fire Department for 1 ½ years. I was also a volunteer firefighter for Redmond for 5 years.
